Some applications such as nVivo and SPSS are distributed through an application automatically installed on SCU computers called the Software Center .
You will first need to open up the Software Center.
|In Windows 7 you can use the search bar to search for the Software Center.|
|In Windows 8 you will find it in the Start Menu.|
|Once the software Center opens, select the software you would like to install underneath the Available Software tab. Then select install in the bottom right corner.|
|The application will then appear in the Installation Status tab as it begins installing, the percentage indicates progress. You can close the software center, installation will continue.|
Once complete, the application will appear in your Start Menu as normal.

In Win 7: select Send to > Desktop to create a desktop shortcut.
