How do I associate a file with a program on my Apple Mac?

This article has been written specifically for the Collaborate Launcher. The steps are the same regardless of which file your are associating to a program. To associate a file with a program on a Mac take the following steps.

1. Navigate to the file in the finder, and then right click on it (Ctrl + Click)

2. Mouse over Open with

 

3. Select other

4. Use the window to navigate to your Applications Folder and select Blackboard Collaborate Launcher.

5. Ensure that the Always Open With box is ticked (As shown above) before clicking open

This will tell the computer that you want the specific type of file to open in the Collaborate launcher. The next time you need to open this file you will just need to double click on it to have it open properly.
