How to Login to an SCU (Equitrac) Printer

There are two ways that you can login to an equitrac printer.

1. Swiping your staff or student card.

All Equitrac printers are equipped with a card reader, they are usually quite visible and look like the ones to the side of many doors around campus.

If you get a “login failed” message you need to either:

  • get a new card from Student Services
  • visit a Technology Services Service Desk as we may be able to update some information to save you getting a new card issued

A temporary solution is to login using the printer screen as per the instructions below. It will stop working again within in a few weeks, so please still either get a new card or visit Tech Services.

2. Login using the "keyboard" on the printer screen

First swipe your card, that way the printer will register it for use next time, then,

  • swipe your card so the printer will register it for future use
  • press the log in / out button
  • use the printer keypad to type in enter your details (press "Next" to confirm your entry & move to the next screen)

Students:

Username - type in either "student\username" (where username is the short username you'd use to access MySCU (eg student\jcitiz10) or your full SCU email address (eg j.citizen.10@student.scu.edu.au)

Password - the one you use to login to a computer or emails.

Staff:

Username - type in either "staff\username" (where username is the short username you'd use to access MySCU (eg student\jcitizen) or your full SCU email address (eg joe.citizen@scu.edu.au)
