How do I login to a Library database?

When you try to open a library database, or a journal within a database, you will be prompted to login. You will need to use your MySCU (Blackboard) login details. Please note: this is not your student ID number.

The login page will look like this (if it does not, you may have been directed to the wrong page):

If you receive an error message that you do not have access to the requested database, please ensure you are using the correct credentials (you can test this by logging into Blackboard). You may also need to try clearing your cache, as sometimes your browser will store an old password, and this may cause difficulties with logging in.

If you have cleared your cache and confirmed that you are using the correct credentials but still receive the error, the database you are trying to access may be restricted to certain users. In this instance, please contact the Library for further advice and assistance.
