How do I submit an assignment on Blackboard?

To submit an assignment on Blackboard you will need to first login to BlackBoard (MySCU) at learn.scu.edu.au.

Once logged in, you will need to open the unit for which you want to submit the assignment; and then select Assessment details from the column on the left.

Note: sometimes the assessment items are located in a different area within your learning site. If you don't have Assessment details check some of the other assignment information sections.

Please note that depending on your unit the location where the submission links can vary. Therefore it may not be exactly as pictured above.

Once this section is loaded, search for the specific assignment you want to submit, the link to submit the assignment should look something like this:

Click on the heading to open the submission page. In here are the tools you will need to submit your assignment. Scroll down until you see the 'Browse my computer' button.

Once this button is pressed a box will open, where you can navigate to your document to submit. 

Once you have selected the document click on the open button as pictured above. Once the document is selected you have the option to add additional comments in the text box below. Once everything is setup the way you would like it to be click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom right or upper right corner of the page as shown.

This will begin the upload process. This may take some time depending on the speed of your internet connection. If you have waited longer than 20 minutes for the screen to change your connection may have timed out, in which case you will need to attempt to submit the assignment again.
