How do I set an auto-reply message on my email account?

To set an auto-reply message on your emails, you will need to

  • login to your SCU email
  • click on the settings cog  up the top right of the screen, then select Automatic Replies.
  • from here you can set an indefinite auto-reply, or set it to send only within a certain time period. You can also select if the reply goes to members of your organisation, external addresses, or both.
  • once you've set your auto-reply message, press OK to save it.

 

Please note: To limit unnecessary emails, an auto-reply will only be delivered to a sender once (for instance, if someone sends you several emails during a week that you are absent, they will only receive your auto-reply message when the first email is delivered, and not on consecutive emails).
